Lough Swilly is a treat for any sailing enthusiast. The Lough has no shortage of inlets and bays. At high tide it is possible to set sail for the heritage town of Ramelton, passing by the eye-catching Inch Island. Visit secluded beaches as you travel up along the Fanad Peninsula.
The Lough is perfect for wildlife watching which is home for dolphins, porpoise, sea-birds, migratory geese. For the diving enthusiasts, there are numerous ship wrecks, including the SS Laurentic sunk by a German Mine in 1917.
Take a trip to Inch Levels Wildfowl Reserve. This Wonderful reserve becomes home to thousands of migratory geese, swans and sandwich tern every year. Along with 8km of excellent trails, an outdoor education zone and birdviewing hides, it is the perfect location every visitor.
