Important: Only content submitted directly to Fanad Lighthouse email will be considered. Content posted on personal social media channels, tagged posts, comments, direct messages or any other platform will not be entered into the campaign.

We’re looking for creative, engaging and authentic content that showcases Fanad Lighthouse and the surrounding area. Some ideas:

• The journey to Fanad Lighthouse
• A day trip to Fanad
• Staying overnight at the lighthouse cottages
• The lighthouse tour experience
• Views from the tower
• The café and visitor experience
• Sunrises and sunsets
• Night skies and stargazing
• Coastal walks and hidden viewpoints
• Wildlife encounters
• Stormy Atlantic weather
• Family visits
• Local history and heritage
• A keeper’s story
• Stories connected to the lighthouse and the local area
• Encounters with local characters and community stories
• The changing seasons at Fanad Lighthouse
• The wider Fanad Peninsula and nearby attractions

We encourage creators to tell a story rather than simply film a location. Show us what makes your experience memorable.

• Videos should be original content created by you
• Videos should be suitable for all audiences
• Landscape or portrait formats are welcome
• We recommend a duration of 15–90 seconds
• Good quality footage and clear storytelling are encouraged
• Open to persons aged 18 and over
• Entrants are responsible for ensuring they have permission to use any music, imagery or other copyrighted material contained within their submission — for that reason, preference won’t necessarily be given to videos with music added
• If identifiable individuals appear in your video, you should ensure they have consented to being filmed and featured

Throughout the season, selected videos will be featured across Fanad Lighthouse social media channels. If your content is selected, we encourage you to share the post with friends and family and help us spread the story of Fanad Lighthouse.
Please note that submission does not guarantee publication. Fanad Lighthouse reserves the right to select which entries are featured.

The overall winner will be selected at the end of the campaign. The judging process will consider:

• Creativity
• Storytelling
• Quality
• Originality
• Audience engagement
• Overall contribution to the Fanad Lighthouse story

The judges’ decision will be final. Entries accepted until 15 September 2026.

By submitting content to the Fanad Lighthouse Creator Campaign, you grant Fanad Lighthouse permission to:

• Share and repost your content
• Edit content where required
• Use content on social media platforms
• Use content on the Fanad Lighthouse website
• Use content in future marketing and promotional campaigns

Credit will be given to creators wherever reasonably possible. Fanad Lighthouse reserves the right not to publish any submission and to withdraw or amend the campaign if necessary.
