Hidden Donegal is the second book Michael Sugrue has produced since he reconnected with Donegal 14 years ago after spending 20 years in Sydney. His previous book, Donegal’s Atlantic Way, sold over 2,500 copies raising €30,000 for local charities.
Hidden Donegal showcases the natural beauty of the county through black and white photographs, combined with a collection of poetry from almost 30 individual Donegal Poets. Michael has compiled almost 200 photographs showcasing perspectives of Donegal in collaboration with many local poets, reflecting the county’s literary and artistic heritage.
