You will learn about the lives of the lighthouse keepers and their families who were stationed here.
There are stories of love and loss, hardship and resilience. Discover how the light itself has changed over the centuries, and how the latest technology has transformed lighthouses.
And, for an exhilarating moment to remember, climb to the top of the tower for spectacular 360 views of North Donegal, the Atlantic and Lough Swilly. With the addition of audio guides, our tour is now available Italian, French, German, Spanish as well as Irish and English.
Please note, children must be a minimum of 1.2m height to climb the tower.

We thoroughly enjoyed the lighthouse tour. Very interesting at a spectacular location… The guides were both well informed and interesting and were genuinely keen. The kids 13 and 11 really enjoyed it… Had a lovely coffee and homemade pastry at the coffee shop, a good place to meet other people on their way from and to the tour. …My 88 year old Dad was really impressed with it and managed the steps. I had emailed ahead to see if it would be suitable and Eimear replied immediately which was such a help. The staff could not have been nicer. This was my favourite destination in a 3 day tour of Donegal and I would love to go back and stay overnight sometime.”
